Monteith's has been one of New Zealand's most famous and popular breweries since 1965. Its production site is now in Timaru, but the old Greymouth site is open to anyone who wants to come and discover its products or even eat in its warmly decorated bar. Visits are also possible. These are worth the detour: the beer will no longer have any secret for you because the explanations go from fermentation to bottling and of course it ends with a tasting!
