Founded in 1926, this glacier is a benchmark of its kind and a real star in Hastings. In fact, it's the oldest ice cream parlour in New Zealand. Run from the outset by local families, the Currie family now proudly runs the business. Quality is the order of the day, with a scrupulous selection of ingredients and flavours that have often won awards. It's an ideal (dare we say essential?) summer stop. If ever there was a season for ice cream. Vast debate.
