The Tongariro Northern Circuit is one of the country's 11 Great Walks, offering spectacular views of the volcanoes and the park as a whole. This circuit circumnavigates Ngauruhoe from Whakapapa Village and offers four DOC-managed huts: Mangatepopo, Ketetahi, Oturere and Waihohonu. Reservations essential in season (between October and April). Out of season, hut equipment is reduced to a minimum, and conditions can become extremely dangerous.

Breathtaking views and many people on the journey relating to the alpine GREAT Promenade Crossing! But normal given the beauty of the landscapes! The tower fear of being in 2 days for good walkers. But 3 is ideal to take time
