Featured on many brochures and postcards, the country's most northerly point, Cape Reinga (or "Cape Reinga"), is the major attraction of the Aupouri Peninsula, on the northern edge of Northland. The Maori consider the peninsula to be "the tail of the fish"(Te Hiku o Te Ika) that is the North Island(Te Ika A Maui).
