This is probably Auckland's best pub, located between Mount Eden and the CBD. The decor, carpeting and woodwork evoke Her Majesty's kingdom, with black-and-white paintings and photos, mirrors and a pretty counter. The large, high-ceilinged room is the haunt of many beer lovers, drawn by the fine products brewed on site, whose vats can be seen on the way to the toilets. For over 30 years, the beer garden has been a delight.
