MUSEUMS OF JŪRMALA
Located not far from where the River Lielupe flows into the Gulf of Riga, in the Ragakāpa Nature Park, this open-air museum illustrates the life of Latvian fishermen in the 19th century. Among the exhibits are old wooden houses, anchors, ropes, fishing nets and boats of yesteryear... Visitors can also sample smoked fish brought in from the neighboring village. If you'd like to delve a little deeper, you can then visit the town's museum in Majori, which combines the history of the seaside resort with local art.
