Church founded by Saint Dominique, one of the rare witnesses of the Gothic period in the Velay.
Situated in the direct vicinity of the House of Providence, the church of Saint-Laurent was founded in 1221 by Saint-Dominique, who came to spend the last year of his life in Puy. This building, enlarged in the 14th century, is one of the rare witnesses of the Gothic period in the Velay. The architecture of this building is truly superb. Inside, you can admire beautiful restored 19th century stained glass windows and others from the 20th century created by the master glassmaker Makaraviez, magnificent woodwork and a paving with a most original symbolism.

J'ai bien apprécié la visite de cette église, les vitraux sont remarquables et en s'arrêtant devant le gisant de Bertrand du Guesclin on essaie de se rappeler nos cours d'histoire de France.
architectural building, a shame that this monument is constantly in work especially the façade obscured by horrible green nets on the scaffolding
