The^first part of the walk, which alternates between industrial sites and residential houses, is more focused on the historical side and the local way of life. But once passed the lock, one then sinks at high speed on the wide Atchafalaya. A unique feeling so much we feel so small in front of the immensity of this wild nature and all this water. Then we enter in smaller bayous. A visit different from the more touristy excursions that we highly recommend.
