A must for dance fans. Oz is gay friendly, but most of the clientele is gay. On two floors, as soon as you get closer to the front door, you understand it's the dance temple. Crowds, music and lights often intrude on the sidewalk. For a break, the bar on the first floor and above all the balcony give an excellent view of Bourbon Street. Oz is generally open until very late and the energy level hardly drops. The entrance is sometimes paid (most of the time on Fridays and weekends). Almost every evening, between 22 a. m. and 23 p. m., a show is presented by a local queen drag.
