Large basin near the port with beneficial properties for skin and rheumatism
Near the harbour, at the foot of the rocky islets, there is a large basin filled with a warm, greyish mud that is supposed to have beneficial properties for the skin and rheumatism. It is therefore fashionable to slather the mud on your body, which at first sight is not very attractive. The session is accompanied by an unbearable acrid smell of hydrogen sulphide, after which you can rinse yourself in the sea water heated by the fumaroles! Remember to bring your flip-flops and a towel. This outing is included in the island excursions.

Originality
The beach is free but access to the mud baths (about 2EUR + 1EUR for the shower). Original experience but feel really bad!

On peut ensuite aller se rincer dans la mer (tiède) ou aux douches. Je n'ai personnellement testé que la mer, c'est bien plus drôle ! Il y a des bulles chaudes par endroit, comme un jacuzzi à ciel ouvert.
