They were dug by man and were actually used as dwellings. The site was occupied more or less regularly from the Middle Ages to the present day. It was a privileged place for two reasons: it was interesting from a geological point of view because the rock was easy to cut, but also geographical, being exposed due south, the site is protected from the prevailing winds. In this troglodytic village, you will see the remains of a chapel, a forge... In spring 2007, this site was enhanced by the development of a discovery trail. From the formation of the volcano to the daily life of a troglodyte, not forgetting the advantages of living in a cave, you will know everything about troglodyte life.
