Selinunte, located in Sicily, is a tourist destination rich in history and culture. The Selinunte Archaeological Park is a must-see, with its well-preserved Greek temples. The park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last entrance at 5 p.m. In addition to the park, there are other interesting sites to visit in the surrounding area. 90 km away is Agrigento, with its archaeological park and museum. In the same direction, you can also visit the theater of Eraclea Minoa, Sciacca and Caltabellotta. 90 km towards Trapani, you can visit the Cusa quarries, Gibellina, the Belice valley, Segeste, Erice, Mothia, San Vito lo Capo, the Zingaro nature reserve and the Egades islands. Just 110 km towards Palermo, you can visit Monreale, Palermo, Solunto and Cefalù. Apart from archaeological sites, there are also museums to visit, such as the Civic Museum of Castelvetrano and the Regional Archaeological Museum of Palermo. Art lovers can also visit the Church of Sant'Egidio in Mazara del Vallo, home to the famous Dancing Satyr. For food lovers, be sure to sample the region's typical products, such as Castelvetrano black bread, Castelvetrano crushed olives and black olives, and Castelvetrano olive oil. Selinunte offers a perfect blend of cultural heritage, nature and gastronomy.
