MERCATO BORGO VECCHIO

A visit to this slightly off-centre market, known as one of the later afternoon markets, is the perfect opportunity to discover the more modern and less touristy northern part of Palermo. Plunge into the colourful fruit and vegetable stalls, taste the street food, mainly seafood, which can be found on several stalls. Take the opportunity to take a tour of the neighbourhood and see the large street art frescoes of the alternative art project held in 2015 in this former industrial area: "the Borgo Vecchio factory".
