SENTIER DU LITTORAL

The south-east of Mauritius is home to the island's wildest coastline. For miles, the coastline is untouched by construction, alternating between sandy beaches, rocky coves and black basalt cliffs formed by ancient lava flows, testimony to the country's volcanic past. Some rock formations are pierced by cavities, arches and chimneys into which the waves rush, creating a powerful spectacle. From La Cambuse beach, a superb coastal path leads to one of them: the Natural Bridge.
