Its construction began in 1525 in a Gothic-Mudéjar style but was restored by Jerónimo Sánchez de Rueda, who gave her a baroque style in the th century. It is one of the most emblematic churches of Cordoba in Cordoba. Inside, there is a magnificent plateresque altarpiece, with sculptures attributed to Juan Bautista Vazquez «El Viejo».
