Rum factory offering a synthetic guided tour to discover the different steps of the manufacturing process

First of all, it is a postcard landscape: an earth-colored rum factory as if emerging from an ocean of cane. We enter this harmonious building with our senses alert for a synthetic guided tour that allows us to discover the different stages of production. The use of state-of-the-art technologies results in a high quality final product, produced with respect for the environment, which can be discovered during a tasting, a lunch at the Alchemist or an experience around rum. The entire range (rums and liqueurs) is on sale in the superb boutique.

Lieu charmant et soigné, la visite permet de voir tous les procédés de fabrication du rhum et les différentes étapes de la distillation de 80 à 40 degrés. Enfin, des dégustations complètes de tous les types de rhum à l'exception des plus vieux et des plus prisés, les confitures ne manquent pas, très bonnes à la papaye et à la vanille. Un conseil : si vous aimez, vous pouvez l'acheter à la boutique, ou il est aussi disponible au duty free de l'aéroport, malgré ma malchance, hors taxes (20% de moins)...

Petite visite super sympa avec un guide au top, qui se termine en dégustation d'une dizaine de rhums et liqueurs différentes. Le restaurant de la rhumerie sert de très bons plats allant du creole au traditionnel français. Un régal. Je recommande le fondant au chocolat en dessert, accompagné d'un rhum chamarel Spice

Le site est très beau. Notre visite privée n'était pas très informative et assez courte, la dégustation ressemblait plutôt à un ravitaillement sous pression pour pouvoir particulièrement bien vendre ensuite.

Visite sympathique mais pas indispensable.
La visite est courte et succincte, et si vous tomber malheureusement au moment où les machines sont arrêtées alors vous visitez une usine en arrêt.
Le site est cependant magnifique, et très bien entretenu. La nourriture au restaurant est bonne.
Vous avez également une dégustation de rhum a la fin de la visite ????
