It's one of the most visited sites in Mauritius, known for its multi-colored earth, waterfall and coffee trees.

Redesigned and upgraded in 2025, the visit to this iconic Mauritian site begins with a road lined with coffee trees, leading to a lovely view of the Chamarel waterfall, the highest on the island. 1 km further on, you come to a spot where the earth forms sheepskin formations of various chromatic shades, believed to be of volcanic origin: ash exposed by erosion and containing mineral oxides of different hues. Also: turtle enclosure, snack bar, large store.

Bien

It is a magical place and exceptional scarcity! The color of the land is really beautiful, it's possible to do all the trick and see all this from different angles, all more beautiful ones. In parallel, several rare and old trees are notified, ideal for curiosity avides. Then follow the beauty of the waterfalls. Small subtlety: the entry price for tourists (because cheaper for Mauritians) has increased: He went from 200 to 225 Rs, proof of photography. It is not clear but the book is not up to date (page 332). However, it is always worth seeing the beauty of the visit. Small restaurant and bathroom available.
