It is one of the true tables d'hôtes in the area and the best address in this category. Marie-Ange and Rico, well-known figures in Chamarel, run this simple and friendly restaurant, specializing in Creole cuisine. Marie-Ange is a chef at heart and cooks, according to the products of the market and the vegetable garden, old recipes of the Mauritian cuisine and sometimes some Indian and Chinese dishes. We sit down for a menu of the day composed of several dishes with achards, plus the unavoidable banana flambé for dessert and Rico's ti-punch as an aperitif!

More authentic there is none. Having lived 3 years in Mauritius I was going there regularly to discover the Mauritian cuisine. This year return happiness to find Rico and discover the local cuisine with my friends. Not to concentrate on tables/chairs or the service, but with lots of kindness and speed Rico is served and chatters easily if you can question it/are engaged in conversation.
No menu, just a menu offering a welcome drink (depending on the mood of the owner. Beware the cocktail can be related to heat!!) Pet, Jacques and other vegetables, a part of fish, chicken and rice share at will more one dessert (banana flambée, exotic flan… according to what was made that day). 450 all inclusive rupies. Possibility of brown pork (wild, for 600 rupies total) but you need to order in advance.

Accueil toujours aussi sympathique et cuisine excellente avec des produits frais : ne changez rien !
les prix ont tout de même augmentés en 2 ans mais cela reste raisonnable.

Truly exceptional. Menu N is not a la carte, friends with the main courses, and bring do is a delight. Everything is fresh and very well cuisisne. The price is very good, and the atmosphere is very pleasant, summer home. This restaurant is worth the one S stops here.
No menu, but a daily menu surprise! The welcome is " vrai" and that is the largest good to be pampered simply. In the dishes is good. The only downside as in many places on the ground, dessert is nothing folichon.
