In a contemporary setting that combines the softness of wood with gracefully curved lines, you'll meet local artisans, happy to share their skills and talents. On two floors, one stall follows another, offering souvenirs in vacoa, rattan, wood engravings and, of course, the national dodo in its many variations. You'll also find organic soaps, sugar cane varieties and more.

An institution in its own right, it occupies two floors of a covered building and happily spills over into the surrounding streets. If its visit is a must even when you have nothing to buy, the place is also popular for daily shopping as evidenced by the number of locals who go there every day. Food products (fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, vanilla, meats, fish...), clothes and accessories, handicrafts abound. Prices a little higher than elsewhere.
