Former residence of the dean of the chapter in Brioude, one of the essential elements of the fortified enclosure in the Middle Ages.
The Doyenné, with its coat-of-arms ceiling listed as a historic monument, has undergone extensive restoration. It comprises five exhibition rooms. This center for modern and contemporary art features world-renowned exhibitions (Chagall, Miró, Picasso...) with major works. For 2025, an emblematic figure in the world of art, Jean Dubuffet, will be exhibiting his work from June 28 to November 2, including paintings, sculptures and graphic works.

Open from July 1 to October 15. Low season: open Mondays, 2 pm to 6 pm; Tuesdays to Sundays, 10 am to 6 pm. High season: Mondays, 2 pm to 6:30 pm; Tuesdays to Sundays, 10 am to 6:30 pm. Free admission for children under 10. Adults: €8. Children: €4. Full price €8. Concession €6. Jobseeker €4. Guided tour (€5 supplement on reservation).

A first major recognition came in 2018, when the specialist magazine Beaux-Arts Magazine validated our approach by placing Le Doyenné at the top of the list of summer exhibitions in France.
