A veritable living museum, dedicated to raising public awareness of the need to protect salmon and their natural environment in Brioude.
Brioude was quite simply the salmon capital of the world in the early 20th century. Here, you can discover just how important the "fish of kings" has been to the town's development as a tourist and gastronomic center. The aquariums feature 800 fish of 35 different species.
To better understand salmon, you can dip your hands into the touch tank to stroke the fish. To make the most of this educational and entertaining tool, we recommend guided tours led by a biologist who adapts his talk to the audience and the theme.
