Pulau Payar Marine Park includes not only Payar Island, but also Segantang, Kala and Lembu. The only real diving destination from Langkawi, it's a 3-hour sail from Kuah. Payar once boasted some of the finest coral reefs on the peninsula, but over-exploitation by tourists has taken its toll. The island is uninhabited and permission must be obtained to camp there.
