ST. LAWRENCE COLLEGIATE
Listed as an historic monument, the collegiate church boasts impressive architecture overlooking the village of Auzon.
Perched on a rocky base, the collegiate church is believed to have been built in the 5th century by the Gallo-Roman Victorius. Its Romanesque architecture and Languedoc influence led to its classification as a Monument Historique on August 11, 1906. It overlooks the fortified village, and features a wrought-iron and leather door, a wooden Christ reliquary (with open eyes and no crown of thorns), considered one of the finest in France, and the Vierge à l'Enfant d'Auzon, also listed as a Monument Historique.
