A talented poet, initiator of the Jazz Festival and several times inn manager, Abdoukhadre Diallo has embarked on a new adventure with this unpretentious hotel in the south of the island. The 12 air-conditioned rooms are arranged around a small interior patio, creating a light well within the building. They are simple and comfortable, some with small balconies overlooking the neighborhood. On the2nd floor, around a large panoramic terrace, new rooms are in preparation. Friendly welcome from the owner.

Excellent hôtel au coeur de St Louis
L'Etoile du Sud est idéalement situé sur la partie sud de l'ile de St Louis. Le responsable Diallo est fort aimable et cultivé. Je le recommande.

Superbe hôtel idéalement situé !!!
Les chambres sont toutes très très propres et spacieuses (nous en avons occupé 3), avec clim, frigo privatif, TV, moustiquaire.
Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié !
L’hôtel est plein de charme !
Un grand merci à son propriétaire (et ses fils) qui nous a reçu comme des rois !!!
On reviendra ;) !!

The rooms are exactly as you see in the pictures. They are comfortable, the sheets are clean and of good quality. The bathroom is large, not particularly special, but very functional and suitable. The staff is welcoming, and the continental breakfast is convenient. It is farther from the majority of restaurants which are in the north of the island, but it is an easy and safe 15 minute walk (even at night).
