In the spirit of an ecolodge, the Esperanto camp has six rooms, divided between beautifully appointed huts, including a villa with two double bedrooms. The cuisine, too, is refined and of the highest quality. The several-hectare estate lies in the heart of a palm forest around a lake, making it a veritable bird sanctuary. Ornithologists know Eric Bedouet's address well. Here, you can disconnect from the outside world in a beautiful setting. A warm welcome from Eric and his wife. A true paradise!

An absolute paradise. Eric, Justine and all their staff were perfect hosts. The accommodation, food and service were of the highest standard. The rooms were cleaned daily. The showers have hot water. The canoe on the lagoon was a wonderful experience with king fishers hovering overhead and osprey, herons and lots of other birds easily seen. This was our first experience of Senegal and it has left an urge to return very soon. We are now in Gambia enjoying Justice’s jam which we were given as we left. We have met some beautiful people.

Undoubtedly the best hotel in Kafountine even Casamance in the ecolodge category. Attentive staff, top cuisine, idyllic setting, deserted beach, in the heart of a forest of palm trees… thank you still Justine and Eric for our magical stay and our beautiful discussions under palm trees for the terrace.
