Bantan Woro, which means "six cheese trees" in Mandinka, is aptly named, as it brings together six impressive cheese trees to form one. Standing majestically in the middle of the village, this several hundred-year-old tree is considered Abéné's protective genie. During the rainy season, village women gather here and perform rituals, often to help fertilization. As it grew, this sacred tree encircled a well, whose water is now used for ceremonies. Juice bar on site. A warm welcome from Tidiane.
