This is a far cry from the pompous establishments on Tulum's main street. Away from the tourist flow, El Canastón is a simple and warm family restaurant with a few tables and a counter where you place your order. One comes here for thirst with thirst-quenching and invigorating fresh juices, with plenty of options for combining fruits and vegetables. For hunger, the enchiladas and especially the tacos are there; for both carnivores and vegetarians. Try for example the taco setas con mole, mushrooms with mole. Great little address.
