Center that works on the protection of two species of turtles that come to lay eggs on the beaches of the area in Akumal
Since 1993, the centre has been working on the protection of two species of turtles that come to lay their eggs on the beaches of the area: the tortuga blanca or verde (Chelonia mydas) and the tortuga caguama (Caretta caretta), which are present between April and November. The centre offers volunteer work, with night patrols on the beach. In case of encounter with a turtle, use a red lamp to avoid disorienting it, remove any obstacle that could hinder its path, erase the tracks and mark with a stick the location of the nest, then contact the CEA.

À l'arrivée, petite marche, puis boutiques et arrivée sur la plage. Allez s'y en fin d'AM pour nager avec les tortues qui viennent brouter l'herbe en bordure de plage. Vous pourrez également croiser dès barracudas ou des raies. Superbe endroit à visiter avec les enfants. N'oubliez pas votre masque ???? !!
elle est malheureusement (pour le touristes) et heureusement (pour les tortues) en accès très limité mais elle vaut vraiment le coup. si on prend soin de la nature elle sait nous le rendre en nous laissant observer des moment de vie magnifique.
