It is the beach of the Michoacanos when visiting the coast. The village which shelters it counts a little more than 3 000 inhabitants at the year. A pleasant climate, fish to be tasted under the arbors, the eyes riveted on the Pacific Ocean while sipping a very juicy coconut are enough to convince. There are four camps that work, from June to December, for the preservation of turtles. If you are visiting in October, don't miss the celebration of the Liberation of the turtle (about 5,000 turtles). Playa Azul also has charming hotels, some of which are located on the ocean, and a few good quality fish restaurants.
