Located in La Entrada, between Cabrera and Nagua on Highway 5, this long beach is bordered by a río popular with Dominican families for its coolness amid lush vegetation. In the shade of palm and coconut trees, you'll find colorful wooden gargotes serving food on modest plastic tables. The ambience goes up a notch when a merengue tune blares out of a speaker and makes you want to dance off the beaten track in front of the ocean.
