MUSEO JUDIO DE SOSÚA
This small museum traces the Jewish presence in the Dominican Republic since the Evian Accords of 1938. Dictator Trujillo agreed to welcome Jewish refugees fleeing persecution in Nazi Germany to Sosúa, in order to boost his international image, "whiten" his country's population and develop the village. The exhibition deals with the organization of community life, and features period photos, documents and utilitarian and personal objects. The museum is constantly evolving, with everyone adding to it through donations.

The future donkey reason this initiative. Unfortunately, only a country agreed to accommodate these potential refugees: La République Dominicaine while delivering more than 5000 visas but only 1000 people arrived in two hotels in 1940.
I prepare these on this epic and I would be grateful for anyone who could send a photo of the Museum and two hotels Synagogue me. Thank you in advance.
