Designed in France and erected here in 1895, this old wooden colonial house was once home to the Rodríguez Jiménez family. It was subsequently acquired by the Dominican state and converted into the headquarters of the Montecristi Palace of Justice, an office the Villa fulfilled until 1990. Abandoned for many years, it is due for extensive restoration. The final project is to turn it into a Casa de Cultura, housing a School of Fine Arts.
