SAM'S BAR & GRILL

This Puerto Plata bar, well known to expatriates, moved to Costambar a few years ago. You can nibble a sandwich, share a plate of nachos, eat a salad and, of course, drink a cold beer or a thirst-quenching fruit juice. There are also a few maritime dishes, such as breaded fish, or ribs for those who like them. Portions are generous enough. The establishment also rents out rooms upstairs (Hotel Castilla). Good atmosphere and warm welcome. No doubt you'll bump into fellow countrymen at Sam's Bar & Grill.
