RINCÓN LAGOON
Between the town of Cabral and the magnetic pole, in the south-west of the island, is the country's largest freshwater lagoon, also known as "Laguna Cabral" by locals. This natural site attracts over a hundred species of birds, including ducks, flamingos, herons and migratory birds, which will delight birdwatchers, especially during migration periods. This lagoon is part of a huge protected area (56 km²) with wild landscapes of great beauty, and also includes the Laguneta Seca and Cerro Cristóbal to the north.
