Located on Santana beach, on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, the Bahia Principe Grand La Romana is an upscale 5-star hotel. It is 2 km from the DR-3 highway and 20 km from the stores and restaurants of downtown San Pedro de Macorís. The hotel's refined suites are elegantly decorated and equipped with Wi-Fi access (surcharge), flat-screen TV and free minibar. Club room guests also benefit from a private evening reception. Très bel hôtel avec un parc bien entretenu,une belle piscine et une belle plage. D'excellents buffets pour tous les goûts. Hôtel tres propre et personnel très aimable. Points négatifs : l'eau de la mer qui est "marron", "boueuse" car une rivière se jette dans la mer à proximité ; l'hôtel est loin de tout : obliger de réserver des excursions ou de prendre un taxi à des prix exhorbitants ; les transats de la piscine sont pris d'assaut tôt le matin et souvent restent vides toute la journée ; si vous vous voulez envoyer des cartes postales ne les acheter pas au magasin dans l'enceinte de l'hôtel : 4 cartes+4 timbres 14 $ heureusement elles sont arrivées à destination.
