Site of manufacture of this emblematic liqueur of Cantal, made on base of roots of gentian.
The Espace Avèze is still the production site of this emblematic Cantal liqueur, which began in 1929. This alcohol is made from gentian roots. It is appreciated for its bitterness as an aperitif or in cocktails. An exhibition presents the plant, which has to wait for decades on the surrounding mountains before it is harvested and the production of Avèze begins. A must: the visit ends with a nice tasting!

Le plus, visite et dégustation gratuites ainsi que des prix de vente abordables.
Cet espace se trouve à proximité de la gare de départ du train de la gentiane. Vous avez la possibilité de faire la visite avant de prendre le train touristique.
Je conseille de faire cette visite... et d'acheter quelques articles.
