Dwelling with dungeon, one of the heritage sites on the "La Route de l'Esclave - Traces mémoires en Guadeloupe" tour.
This site was selected, along with 17 other emblematic heritage sites, to integrate the circuit "The Slave Route - Traces of memory in Guadeloupe" because of its link with the history of slavery. An itinerary that has been developed for a better understanding of this painful historical context in the archipelago. This house has a dungeon visible from the road. It dates from the 18th century. It was used to lock up slaves.
