The towns of Les Abymes, Pointe-à-Pitre and Baie-Mahault form the heart of Guadeloupe, and make up the Cap Excellence agglomeration community in the center of the Papillon. With 50% of its territory made up of natural areas, it is home to the Petit and Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, the Rivière Salée, mangrove swamps and part of the coastline. The "Sonjé" heritage and tourist trails in the heart of the 3 communes invite us to remember, to better understand the present and to think about the future.

The Communauté d'agglomération Cap Excellence, which includes the towns of Les Abymes, Pointe-à-Pitre and Baie-Mahault in Guadeloupe, invites you to enjoy a wide range of experiences. Located in Baie-Mahault, the tourist office is an ideal starting point for exploring this vibrant territory, rich in history, culture and flavors. You'll find all the information you need on what to do and what not to miss in Cap Excellence. You'll also discover the Sonjé guide, which offers tours to discover the history of the three towns, their biodiversity and their diverse gastronomy. The tourist office team will also provide you with itineraries and maps to explore Pointe-à-Pitre's fascinating museum landscape, including the Saint-John Perse Museum, Musarth and the Mémorial ACTe. These maps and guides, which can also be consulted online, are essential tools for organizing your next stay in Cap Excellence. The Communauté d'Agglomération Cap Excellence is offering three tourist and heritage tours through the towns of Pointe-à-Pitre (Lapwent), Baie-Mahault (Bémao) and Les Abymes (Zabym). These tours, designed to combine entertainment and education, offer an authentic immersion in these localities with their rich heritage, shaped by visionary figures in Guadeloupe's history.
By exploring these tours, visitors discover not only the history, but also the cultural diversity, gastronomy, biodiversity, markets, music and landmark events that have defined the region.
