Museobar takes you back to the 1860s and 1953 to discover Modane and its American Wild West feel.
The Museobar plunges you into the Modane of the 1860s-1930s, with its air of an American Wild West town, at the time of Savoie's incorporation into France and the completion of the Fréjus tunnel. This living museum recreates the atmosphere of the cafés of the time, with the sound of mechanical pianos made in Modane, popular songs and testimonials from Italian immigrants and railway workers. Photos, videos and period objects. A stopover to understand the history of a lively, cosmopolitan frontier town
