Épierre is located in the lower part of the lower Maurienne valley. Its church of the Assumption was built in 1859. A new church dedicated to it is dedicated in honour of God, under the title of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin and St. Francis de Sales. There is white marble furniture, the pulpit, the Way of the Cross and some paintings from the old church. The masonry vault is decorated with medallions painted with frescoes.
