Housed in the city's former public granary, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Chambéry houses a rich and surprising collection, testifying to the city's role as a cultural crossroads between France and Italy. The permanent tour highlights Italian painting from the XIVᵉ to the XVIIIᵉ centuries (Veronese, Tintoretto, Guardi...), with remarkable canvases rarely seen elsewhere in France. French, Flemish and Savoyard artists are also featured. Temporary exhibitions regularly complete and modernize the offering.
