On the square of the village of Vernaison, Le Matélis has changed direction in order to orient itself, in a beautiful colourful room, to traditional cuisine and specialities of the day according to the inspiration of the chef. In a décor where vivid colours respond, giving a gay and leading air, we are happy to be at noon to enjoy a day's formula among friends and promise that we will return to the weekend to taste all homemade specialities. Start with frogs'legs, served in a menu at only 20 €, and lyonnaiseries like the head of calf sauce gribiche, brochet quenelles to morels or Lyon andouillette to mustard seed. Large and beautiful salads take up the theme with a Lyon salad and another of the Croix-Rousse. The ravioles, the morels, the morels and the saint-jacques are déclinent. Before the desserts, burnt-fruit pie or profiteroles, the cheese plate of regional producers is not missing. A discovery of the Smart to share.
