A gallery owner in Grenoble, Antoine de Galbert moved to Paris in the 2000s to open La Maison Rouge, an exhibition space. As a collector, he acquires paintings, photographs, drawings, religious objects and other objects.... of headdresses. He even gathered more than 500 in 30 years. They come in a variety of shapes and colours, with materials such as fabric, wood, feathers, hair, pearls or precious metals. The exhibition Le Monde en Tête, which takes place at the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, brings together 334 headdresses. This is an opportunity for the public to learn more about their origin, how they were made and why they are part of man's rich collection. It is also a journey to meet other cultures and rituals, from Africa to Asia, America and the Middle and Near East. More information on the Confluence Museum website
