The church of Bessenay is particularly impressive with a monumental bell tower. It was built between 1855 and 1869 according to drawings of Bossan, architect of Notre-Dame de Fourvière. It is a golden stone building of the beaujolaise region, which in addition to its stained glass windows holds remarkable pieces (chair, altars…). See also, the chapel of Ripan, high in honour of Mary who protected the parish of the War of 1870, with his clocheton visible on a spur.
