Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, one of France's most beautiful villages, was voted one of France's 25 most beautiful villages by The Times. The only Carthusian monastery in the world to have become a village in its entirety, you can take a guided tour of the "Cour des Frères", the "Cour des Pères", the church with its 14th-century murals, the small cloister and the monastery kitchen. A visit to a hermitage will give you a sense of the mystical dimension of the place.

Un monastère devenu village...Une visite plus intéressante si l'on prend l'option guidée, qui permet de plus l'accès privilégié à certaines parties du lieu.
Ensuite un petit tour à la ferme, 200m en contrebas, pour s'approvisionner de quelques produits délicieux.
