Adela Coman-Trambouze has created an associative exhibition space under the arcades of the Hôtel de Ville. She invites artists, designers, creators of all kinds to exhibit their creations in order to test them with the public, hence the name laboratory. Thus, going to this place is always a surprise. The Carrefour des Collectionneurs was created in 1987 by the Chambre économique de Saint-Étienne to show the collections to visitors and discuss these passions. Since 1989, the event has been organized by the association of the carrefour des Collectionneurs. 70 exhibitors from all over France come to present their collection. The latter are very varied, from the most classic to the most unusual: primers, thermometers, TSF stations in bakelite, 1/43 cars, ASSE, footrests, Urals glassware, billiard balls, Casino catalogues, jokes about papillotes..
