Entirely dedicated to creation and unknown, Comedy has now been offering nationally and internationally renowned live shows for over 60 years. Involving promising talented talent and renowned artists, Comedy is committed to offering its audience as varied a programming as possible. It has taken place in the creative neighborhood Manufacture/Plaine Achille, in a building with sober and simple architecture valuing the existing. With two rooms, Comedy is aimed at all audiences with programming to families and children. It develops a touring policy in some neighborhoods of Stéphanois and in the countryside.

The Gaga Jazz association now has its own venue for all kinds of jazz. The venue occupies the space of the former Comédie restaurant, and welcomes top names from France and abroad. Built by the renowned architect Sir Norman Foster, the Zenith of Saint-Etienne is one of the largest of its kind in terms of capacity in the region. The building can accommodate up to 7,200 spectators, including 5,400 seated. Every year, this establishment organises around sixty events: concerts and musicals, comedy, sports events, fashion shows... Bought in 2020 and then refurbished, the Megarama Jean Jaurès (formerly the Alhambra) remains the cinema of Saint-Etienne to see the latest blockbusters as well as most new releases. Previews and live or recorded broadcasts of cultural and musical events are also on the programme. Note that inside, there are always 10 comfortable and modern theatres, including 3 premium theatres called "Horizon" offering more comfort. In July 2020, the Megarama group bought the Camion Rouge. But apart from the name, not much has changed in this cinema which is now called the Megarama Chavanelle. The "Les Brankignols" theatre takes its name from the troupe formerly formed by Louis de Funès, Michel Serrault and others. This pocket theatre has a limited capacity but it feels good. All types of shows for children and adults are available: theatre, magic, puppets, poetry, clowning, concerts... The stage is mainly occupied by amateur troupes who face an audience eager to spend a pleasant moment of relaxation. Managed by an association, this small theatre also offers courses for both children and adults.

Adjacent to the brasserie of the same name, Le Méliès cinema screens films that you probably won't find in other cinemas in town. Independent and heritage cinema, films in VO, must-see films in VF... This venue screens 5 to 6 international feature-length films a week, and is a favorite with all cinephiles. Le Méliès is also two cinemas, offering twice as many screenings: the largest is located on Place Jean Jaurès, with 4 screens, and the other in the Saint-François district (bonus: a room with a balcony!). Maintes et une fois is a clown and puppet theater based in Saint-Étienne, France. Founded in 2003 by Gérald and Marlou, the company offers a variety of workshops and courses focusing on the clowning world. It also stages shows for all audiences, from young audiences to themed shows and street performances. The company also takes part in symposiums and conferences, giving offbeat presentations. La Ricane was created by Jérôme Chevoppe, actor, author and director. And since 2019, it is Michèle Hirsch who has taken over the reins of this theater. But this change was made in the continuity. Thus, in a garage refurbished, rather dark, the good franquette, every Friday and Saturday, artists, exclusively comedians, occur. The objective of the invited artists: to make the audience laugh!
