Hat workshop-museum in Chazelles-sur-Lyon, offering guided tours to discover the world of fashion and hats.
Labelled a "Musée de France", the Atelier-Musée du Chapeau is a unique place. The town of Chazelles-sur-Lyon has enjoyed five centuries of prosperity thanks to hat-making. The museum presents a permanent exhibition and two temporary exhibits throughout the year. Nearly 400 hats are on display, including creations made in Chazelles-sur-Lyon and pieces from the collections of Christian Dior, Pierre Cardin and Jean-Paul Gaultier. Training courses are available at all levels to learn the skills of hat-making.
