In a splendid natural setting, in the heart of a true "resort" (3-star hotel on site), here's the Grenoble Charmeil golf course, an 18-hole course ranked among the best in France. An ideal environment for a golf architect like Jeremy Pern, who has created an 18-hole course with many facets: Scottish, American and French (!), small undulations, cleverly placed bunkers, strategic doglegs; there, large bodies of water to be crossed (preferably) in one shot and majestic holes in oak forests. The exercises on offer to golfers are varied. You'll need to demonstrate your technical and strategic acumen at all times to tackle this magnificent par 73. It's a pleasure for the experienced golfer to tackle the 6,110-metre course, and a pleasure for the improving golfer to have played the 5,800-metre course without tiring and just wanting to get going again. As for après-golf, which is almost as important, it takes place in a convivial clubhouse or on the terrace by the swimming pool, with a view of the foothills of the Alps facing the first and last holes of the course. there's plenty of time for a reunion, or at least a round of golf...
