Library-museum of the Vichy writer Valery Larbaud, a place open to the public all year round

On the second floor of the media library is the library-museum of the Vichy writer Valery Larbaud (1881-1957). To discover: his impressive collection of works (nearly 15 000 books!) arranged in period furniture, as well as many personal souvenirs such as portraits of ancestors or writer friends, as well as manuscripts and signed works. Explanatory panels allow visitors to learn more about the life of the writer. The place is open to the public all year round. Guided tours are available by appointment for groups.

Grosse déception alors que j'appréciais pourtant la médiathèque. Ils organisent des ateliers lecture pour les enfants mais ne savent pas leur parler et ne supportent pas du "bruit", pourtant pas excessif (un enfant qui pousse une chaise), quand l'enfant pleure aucune empathie il faut "trainer" son enfant de force sans pouvoir prendre le temps de lui expliquer. Quelle pédagogie, à quoi bon faire des évènements pour les enfants si c'est pour ne pas comprendre qu'ils ne sont pas toujours calmes ?
